TED (Technology, Entertainment, Design) are conferences held throughout the year in the US, now in Asia and Europe as well on “ideas worth spreading”. …
I literally got wind of this website when I was channel surfing and landed on the Bravo Channel, Kathy Griffin‘s My Life On The D List Show. It was an episode where Rosie O’Donnell tells Kathy she wants to sit in on a TED conference, and in exchange, she will set up a meeting for Kathy with her idol Cher.
Also want to give a shout out to my other Ted, the sitcom Better Off Ted , love it too!! Just clever satirical snapshots of Corporate Science.
I must say, having the title and responsibility of an Aunt is a mere glance into the enormous, undertaking role of motherhood. I may change diapers, bathe, and feed my niece and nephews, but they get returned to their parent(s). As a person who is without child, I have a daily routine that only involves me. I may get up in the morning, take a nice hot soaking bath, while watching the news with a soothing cup of hot tea, before I start my day. In a mother’s world, she is woken up to the tune of a little person, maybe several times throughout the night, crying for a bottle in the early morning. So the mom who has had interrupted sleep, starts her day feeding her hungry child, who will have many other needs and unexpected surprises, whenever, whatever they are, through the coarse of a day, every day (24/7) to react or respond to!
I have heard Oprah Winfrey on her views of Mothers worldwide, and I wholeheartedly agree, Being a Mother is the toughest, most important job on the planet.
My niece and I sit together watching educational and kid friendly animated videos. This inspiring little person is turning two, going on twenty! She is very decisive in what she likes to watch, really, with anything she wants to do. Flowgo is one of the sites we visit as well as Sesame Street. Flowgo has the farting, laughing, white kitten that she loves. Sesame Street just turned 40 years, they are definitely doing something right. She loves Elmo, and many of the variety of characters throughout the Internet.
Bindi Irwin has been bedazzled by the Stevo gene. Bindi The Jungle Girl can be seen on the Discovery Kids show teaching us about the world we share with all animals and the threat of extinction. She also has a family website at Australia Zoo their Australian Wildlife Park.
Yes, Just another great miracle dog worker, Zack George on Animal Planet, teaches us that if we direct and guide consistently, the dogs will follow. Let’s give our dogs another purpose in their life! Our four footed friends want to feel needed and it makes everyone’s life more interesting. If we build it, they will fetch!
For those of you who have never tuned in to his National Geographic Channel show, or his site Cesar’s Way, he is quiet informative on the importance of the energy and discipline that owners bring to their dog’s life experience and environment. Cesar is an advocate for eliminating the negative behavior owners mistakenly reinforce in their dogs, and caring for the unsocialized canines that some times erroneously are put down. Besides rescuing and rehabilitating them, his true intentions are directed to the owners/caretakers of these amazing fury companions, to be the assertive alpha pack leader . The training is really geared towards the humans. There are magazines, books, sessions etc., that he has marketed, however use whatever tool you need, pertaining to your individual circumstances, in fulfilling the best life for you and your fury friend.
Welcome readers to my Blog ! I hope to give you a little in-site to the Woman behind the words. I was born to Stan and Rosie, in Rota, Spain, where my Mother is from. I was given the name Natalia. I come from a military background, my father use to be in the Navy. Having a father from Iowa( Luxembourg ancestry) and a mother from Spain, I was predisposed to universal thoughts from the onset. People are people no matter what country they reside in. They may have different customs, traditions or language, but the fundamental needs are all the same in each and every country and person.
I graduated from high school in Spain and went on to college. I took classes in Spain, my parents were still residing overseas when I decided to see what being independent meant. (I was 20 at the time). In Europe it is custom for children to live at home passed the age of 18. I’m Sure my father and mother had different views on that one! My father would always tell me I live a sheltered life, so I wanted to check it out, experience what that meant. To experience the big world on my own, the transition was different and the concept was kind of hard to wrap my mind around. I had been with my family for 20 years of my life and now I was on my own, well not entirely. I moved to the US, Jacksonville, Florida where I was roommates with my friend Danny. My dad had a friend from Spain who lived in Jacksonville as well, Nick(his family, Peggy, ,Jeff, and Robin ) they became my extended family. They were an enormous support group, and my 2nd friends.
I have not completed my education for my BA, or higher, but I would like to. I have traveled cross-country through out the US and just like John Melincamp sings ” ain’t that America, something to see baby”. We in the US have a beautiful country, so we need to defend its beauty.
I like to reserve some privacy, but for the most part, I am fairly open and opinionated.
