The Pursuit of Justice For Children Entangled In A Horrible System

By: Nat on January 9, 2013

I get email updates from the Dixie Chicks, I have been a fan for a long time.  In the email Natalie Maine was performing a rendition of Mother, by the great Pink Floyd, for multiple reasons, one in particular the West Memphis Three case.  They made a documentary of it, West of Memphis I have not seen it yet , but its on my list.

There is something fundamentally wrong going on with our society, our children are being tossed away, Nature and  Nurture have a lot to do with it.  We have so many institutions that are corrupt, and our Government  governs a lot of these institutions, and is helping them put our countries priorities in the toilet. Health care, Education, and the Environment are just a couple.

I Like Tom Petty’s Music

By: Nat on June 29, 2012

Tom Petty has been around for a while, his music is ageless.  I like what he and his band create, it is a group ans amble some of it was solo.   Mr. Petty has written a lot of his songs, he is pretty freaking talented. This particular song is a reminder to stay on your path no matter what the distractions, opinions, you stand for something and you do not recant.

Rihanna, Sing It Girl !

I do not know about you, however I witness reoccurring unpleasant situations and I just want them to stop and go away, whether it is family, personal, global.  Music helps me escape and the lyrics are a sudden reminder that we all have our stories and situations under a microsope. I like some of Rihanna’s music and here is a goody.  We all have to unwind, and there are plenty of ways to do so.

What Would John Lennon Do ?

By: Nat on April 24, 2012

The Beatles brought some great artistry to the world.  They were all individually talented.  I watched a documentary, LennoNYC a couple of months ago, on John Lennon , when he left England to live in New York.   I was inspired and felt admiration for such an amazing human being. He achieved super stardom and yet he remained true to himself and fought for every-ones freedom.   There are other great cats  such as Abbie Hoffman, Jerry Rubin and many more throughout his era.  Watching the documentary was as if it had taken place today, because of how I feel about our government, the ridiculousness and the many lies and deceits of all our wars.  This all brings me to one of the greatest songs Mr. Lennon wrote, Imagine.

Music, Lyrics, Always Expressing Something In Its Beautiful Multi-Dimensional Way

By: Nat on April 20, 2012

Wether it is love you have found for yourself, or a pureness in something, realizing that there is beauty in everything, people, places, things will touch your heart in a way you never imagined it could or would.  So I give a shout out to Colbie Caillat for providing beautiful art. Here is the lyrics on video.

Music is Always a DeStresser

I like Florence and The Machine, Shake It Out, is one of many songs to go to, or think of when getting  frustrated or upset about needless things.  We are human, we slip and go to the stupid zone or we have to unload our mistakes.  The definition of crazy/ insanity is doing the same thing and expecting a different result.  I’m shaking it out !  Lyrics to a great song.

Brilliant, Artistic Queen Music

By: Nat on January 16, 2012

Freddie Mercury was part of a great band Queen.  There are  songs of theirs that I jam out to and relate to.  Under Pressure is a classic piece that is timeless and it fits our time right now and always.  The lyrics tell a story on multi levels.  I love the vision of artist and wonder what goes through their minds when creating.

It is Martin Luther King‘s Day. He knew too well about pressure for civil rights for everyone and it has been going on ever since!
